Difficulty with English has a big impact on the lives of many of the people we meet. Not understanding or feeling worried about speaking English can stop people from using public transport, making friends, making progress at school or college, talking to their children’s teachers, going to see a doctor or making sure they get the support they need.
We believe that friendly and accessible opportunities to learn and practice English help people to feel more confident and to live independently here in London. Language is an important first step to feeling like you are part of the local community and that you can look after yourself, and your family, within that community.
