We are delighted to announce that in October, we were unexpectedly selected for the Jack Petchey Crystal Award, which came with a £1,500 grant for our youth work.

This award marks the 15th anniversary of the Jack Petchey Foundation and recognises CARAS’ continued commitment to young people’s services, effective management of the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme and associated programmes over the years. The award was officially presented at the Jack Petchey Crystal Awards Reception held at City Hall on October 2nd, where we were represented by youth projects worker, Molly.

Among the resources that CARAS will acquire with the grant fund is a tablet, which will be used during outreach visits. Here pictures and videos of activities will be shown to help prospective young beneficiaries – especially those with limited English – understand what the organisation is about and what they might experience in their time with us.
