Haidi is committed to helping the Public Sector and Government services meet their mission through the transformational power of technology. With start-up, executive team and big corporate experience in the Digital and Technology industries, as well as international experience. Her current role at Amazon is to help public sector organisations realise the transformational power of the cloud.
ROSIE SPIEGELHALTER, Chair of trustees
HEAD OF PHILANTHROPY, ST MUNGO'S
Rosie specialises in developing sustainable services combatting poverty and social injustice through effective partnerships and income generation. She is currently Head of Philanthropy at St Mungo's, leading on grant funding and major gifts to combat the growing homelessness crisis. Previously she was Head of Development for anti-poverty charity Toynbee Hall.
JESSICA THOMAS
PAEDIATRICIAN AND SAFEGUARDING SPECIALIST
Jess studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge before moving across to medicine in 2002. Based at St George’s, University of London, she was one of the original group of medical students who began running activities for children of refugee background in 2003, eventually leading to the creation of CARAS. Jessica is a paediatrician and safeguarding specialist who also sits on the management committee of street-child NGO, the Moroccan Children’s Trust.

HELEN GRIBBLE
HR DIRECTOR, ONE FINE STAY
Helen is a Board Level HR Director with experience in the Construction, Financial Services and Retail industries in both the UK and New Zealand. Her experience has included managing large scale projects and teams. Helen has undertaken advocacy work for South London Refugee Association, travelled to the Calais and Dunkirk camps and is also the Chair of Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees. Currently her focus is assisting refugees into employment in the UK.
EMILY GRANT
EVIDENCE AND IMPACT MANAGER, ADVANCE
Emily received an MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from Oxford before working as a monitoring and evaluation consultant for humanitarian aid and international development INGOs – primarily on projects supporting refugees and internally displaced people across the Middle East. Emily now works as the Evidence and Impact Manager at Advance, a London-based charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse and women with experience of the criminal justice system.

INVESTMENT WRITER
Keith is a freelance writer specialising in the finance industry. His experience includes copywriting, investment writing and journalism. He has been volunteering with CARAS since December 2013, particularly working in and at times leading our youth projects.
SUHAN RAJKUMAR
CHARITY AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISE SOLICITOR
Suhan is a lawyer who specialises in advising charities and social enterprises, and joined the board of CARAS in 2019. In his professional life, Suhan works with all sorts of not-for-profits, from household names to local start-ups - with particular focuses on helping international development and humanitarian aid charities, and advising UK organisations delivering public services.
CHARLES WHITEHEAD
CHANGE CONSULTANT
Charles is a Londoner who grew up in the USA and trained as an artist. He spent 30 years as a management development consultant using outdoor experiential methods with retail, manufacturing and finance sector clients. Nine years with Plan International, a global children’s rights charity, led to taking a Sustainability MSc and strategic work with children’s charities on their responses to the challenges of climate change. Now Charles contributes to participative community-led sustainability projects.
