Impact
CARAS provides person-centered educational, social and casework support to over 600 young people and adults across South London each year, recognising the moment of arrival as one of opportunity.
1766
individuals reached since 2019.
608
individuals receive 1:1 casework support annually to connect them to essential services.
Our work provides refugees and asylum seekers with essential support to build language and employability skills, develop social networks and friendships, and access essential services such as legal and mental health services.
Our work has multi-generational impact, providing forced migrants with early interventions to support language and skill acquisition, tackling the root causes of socio-economic marginalisation by supporting social inclusion and future labour market access.
Outcomes 2023
Each year we survey community members to explore the outcomes of our work. Our 2023 measures revealed that despite growing need we are delivering even greater outcomes.
2023
Because of CARAS...
2022
Because of CARAS...
291
people reached each year through English, digital skill and out-of-school education classes.
273
individuals welcomed into social activities each year including trips across London and sports.
They may not change the story but the love of their work makes changes in our lives...thanks to the CARAS team, when we need them most they always give us the best smile and there is always a solution to all adversity.
